The Inter-Care Model
Inter-Care views all drug dependencies as treatable diseases requiring professional attention. Our treatment staff is carefully selected to ensure
that individuals and families receive the best care possible. We hope all treatment programs feel this way about their mission. We also feel that
love and concern are essential ingredients in both treatment and recovery. Our professionalism and dedication reflect this philosophy. Professionalism
is an expectation, but when all is said and done, only love "slays the monster."
Outpatient Overview
 Inter-Care
is an outpatient treatment program with a focus on early recovery,
long-term growth, and relapse prevention. We are licensed
as both an Outpatient Treatment Program and an Intensive Outpatient
Treatment Program. Our services include a fully integrated
approach to treatment that begins with a comprehensive assessment
to ensure an individualized, effective treatment plan for
each client. Because we believe chemical dependency affects
the entire family, family involvement is rigorously encouraged.
Treatment at Inter-Care is provided by a multi-disciplinary
team, seamlessly coordinating medical, behavioral, alternative
and twelve-step modalities in a dignified recovery environment.
We are always sensitive to our clients' special circumstances
and responsive to their needs and concerns. Confidentiality
is carefully maintained and privacy is always respected. Our
earliest objective is to build a trusting relationship. INTER-CARE
is a supportive environment that promotes program participation
and cultivates a positive attitude toward recovery.
Outpatient Services
No one approach to chemical-dependency treatment is right for everyone. Treatment planning is always based on an individualized comprehensive
assessment and, to ensure the best possible outcome, is likely to include an integration of services. For this reason, Inter-Care offers a full
complement of services to serve the needs of the individual and his or her family.

Treatment Process
The start of treatment begins with a telephone call. Individuals, family members, or employers can call for an appointment and an initial intake
session will be scheduled. Confidentiality is strictly maintained and clients are always treated in a dignified manner. The client will meet with
a counselor who will explore the presenting problem and gather information on chemical dependency usage/treatment history, employment status and
family history. A physical examination and psychological evaluation may be part of the intake process. Every client is assigned to a primary case
manager who will discuss treatment expectations and the feasibility of family involvement. Individual counseling, recovery education and group
counseling serve as core treatment functions while additional clinical activities will be mutually determined by the counselor and the client.
(See listing of services under Outpatient Services.) Inter-Care is licensed to provide both outpatient treatment and intensive outpatient treatment --
a treatment option that will be reviewed at the clinical assessment session. If detoxification is indicated, an outpatient detoxification
schedule will be started or client will be referred for inpatient treatment, if necessary.
Flexible Scheduling and Insurance
Inter-Care provides day, evening and weekend services to meet the needs of its clients, families and work organizations. Individualized treatment
plans are developed that allow clients to maintain their existing work and family schedules while fully participating in group, educational and
one-on-one clinic activities. Clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 A.M. through 9:00 P.M.; Saturday, 9:00 A.M. through 1:00 P..M. At other
times, a message can be left on our 24-hour hotline (800-252-5252). An appointment will usually be scheduled within 24 hours. Inter-Care accepts
most major insurance and HMO plans, including medicaid. Self-payment plans are also available.
