Inter-Care Family Foundation
The Inter-Care family Foundation is an innovative 501(C) (3), not-for-profit human services organization providing Invitational Interventions (iii)
and guidance to families affected by the disease of addiction. In helping the entire family, including the children, the goal is to prevent passage of
this disease from one generation to the next. The Foundation's primary objective is to reach out to families who might not otherwise get the help they
need and to support the family through the recovery process.
Formed in 2000 by Robert J. Smith and Vincent Casolaro, their vision was to help the family through the Inter-Care Invitational Intervention. (iii) process.
By implementing this model of intervention, family and friends will learn how to invite the person with the addiction to attend the intervention and choose treatment.
The program is completely voluntary.
By using this approach, the addicted person is less likely to relapse or leave treatment. Thirty years of experience has taught us that over 90% of the time,
addicted people that are offered the Invitational (iii) approach, accept it and the family begins to heal.
